OPERATION OF THE SOFTENER
Hard water contains dissolved calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese ions. These mineral ions are removed in the softeners by ion exchange in a resin tank. The resin captures the mineral ions as the hard water moves through the tank. In time, the resin becomes exhausted and is then regenerated by the solution in the brine tank.

High quality resin provides stability and uniform size for top performance and long life.

METER-INITIATED REGENERATION
Water meter mounted on outlet of softener measures pre-set number of gallons and initiates softener regeneration. Salt expense is minimized.

ALTERNATING TWIN TANK DESIGN
A continuous supply of softened water is assured. One tank provides soft water until the meter signals a change.  Then the control shifts. The alternate standby tank is put into service. The exhausted tank is regenerated and returns to the standby position.

PATENED LEAD FREE BRASS CONTROL VALVE
Typical water softener valves are plastic. The Twin 9000 system features the durability of brass with the longevity of nickel plating, eliminating costly valve repair.

WATER LUBRICATED PISTON
Only moving part is solid brass coated in teflon which means less required service.

COUNTER- CURRENT REGENERATION
The Twin 9000 regenerates the resin bed from the bottom of the tank up. This coupled with our total soft water regeneration, provides substantial salt and water savings.

POSITIVE MOTOR-DRIVEN REGENERATION VALVE
Motor driven pistons are reliable under severe water conditions, resist dirt, iron, turbidity. All brass construction.

AUTOMATIC BRINE CONTROL
Automatically measures the correct amount of brine. A single turn of the dial sets correct amount dosage and capacity - just set it and forget it.

DOUBLE BRINE SAFTEY SYSTEM
Positive overfill protection. Automatic refill control is backed up by shut-off float valve to minimize chance of overflow.

LARGE SALT STORAGE CONTAINER
Capacity for 25 or more regenerations between refills. Can be located up to 25 feet from softener. Salt bed plate supports salt and allows insoluble matter to settle out, preventing clogging of brine system.

Some localities have corrosive water. A softener cannot correct this condition, so its printed warranty disclaims liability for corrosion of plumbing lines, fixtures, or water- softening equipment.
